J.L. Shepherd Model 89 Gamma Calibrator
The J.L. Shepherd Model 89 is a self-contained Cs-137 gamma calibration system designed for radiation instrument calibration and response testing. Instruments are positioned within the shielded calibration chamber, allowing controlled and repeatable exposure to a known gamma radiation field without requiring an open-air calibration range. Model 89 systems are available in various source configurations and can provide a wide range of dose rates for both low- and high-range radiation instrumentation.

JLS Model 28 Gamma Irradiator / Calibrator
The JLS Model 28 is a compact, dry-source-storage gamma irradiator designed for radiation instrument calibration and testing. The unit utilizes a sealed gamma source that can be exposed to produce a controlled, directed radiation beam for establishing calibration fields at defined distances. Its beam-type configuration makes it well suited for survey meter calibration, response checks, and radiation measurement applications.

J.L. Shepherd M142-S Gamma Irradiator
The J.L. Shepherd M142-S is a gamma irradiation system designed for bulk dosimeter irradiation and calibration applications. The unit utilizes a sealed gamma source positioned within a central source rod, with a rotating sample table surrounding the source. Dosimeters or other radiation-sensitive devices can be loaded onto the table and rotated around the source to provide a consistent and repeatable exposure.
The M142-S is well suited for personnel dosimetry programs, radiation detector testing, research, and other applications requiring the simultaneous irradiation of multiple devices.
Regulatory Licensing Notice:
Purchase or possession of a gamma irradiator containing licensed radioactive material may require authorization from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) or the applicable Agreement State. Buyers are responsible for ensuring that they hold all licenses and authorizations required to possess and use the irradiator and radioactive material at the intended facility. Please consult the applicable regulatory authority prior to purchase.
Transportation and Packaging: Buyer is responsible for arranging and coordinating all transportation logistics for shipment of the gamma irradiator, including selection and scheduling of a qualified carrier and procurement of the required Type A shipping package. Seller will serve as the shipper of record and will be responsible for performing the required radiation surveys, completing applicable shipping documentation, and preparing the radioactive material for shipment in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements. Buyer is responsible for all transportation, freight, carrier, and packaging procurement costs.
